Having recently secured £200,000 for improvements to Marsh Lane Matt intends to use this money to deal with some of the problems on the road that residents have complained about over the last three and a half years. These include parking, road safety and the appearance of the road.
Matt is currently seeking the views of residents of Marsh Lane and the surrounding roads on what this money should be spent on. Some of the options are:
- Safety Measures at the Chudleigh Road junction
- Tarmaccing over a section of the central reservation at the Erdington end of the road to provide extra parking
- New railings along the central reservation on the Edgware Road side
- Reducing the size of some of the turning points in the road to prevent double parking
- A zebra crossing near Glenville Drive
- Measures to prevent right turns from Beech Dene Grove (i.e. driving in the wrong direction down Marsh Lane)
If you live on or near Marsh Lane please email or text Matt your preferences and suggestinos, stating your name and address.
