I recently spent some time knocking on doors on Hunton road, to see if residents had any issues or local concerns. The main issues that came up were:
- Street cleansing – many were dissatisfied with the standard and frequency the road is cleaned. I have asked for this to be improved. I think the road suffers from having its rubbish collection on a Friday and street cleansing on a Monday, which means any spillages are left for two days an inevitably grow. I will ask for this to be considered for change.
- Dog fouling – there appears to be a problem with persistent dog fouling. I have asked the dog wardens to investigate and take some action.
- Pot holes – there are a number of potholes on the road that should have been repaired by now. I will also request a full resurfacing
- Rubbish on the railway embankment – I will ask Network Rail to organise a clean up.
I will write to update you when I have responses to these points.
